Old Enough To Know Better Puppets
For young kids trapped in old bodies
Our Original Puppets.
A collection of our custom orders and other designs.

David Parkinson-Frost.
British TV Host and Spokesman, David Parkinson-Frost.
Based on a combination of London Mayor Boris Johnson and comedy legend Ronnie Barker's Spokesman character, this puppet is a British institution and the ideal candidate for chairing company briefings, presenting awards ceremonies and possibly even taking ove from Jeremy Paxman on Newsnight.
David has already appeared at the No Fluff Just Stuff Big Ball of Fluff Charity Event, and in numerous online advertisements and has a series of appearances in the pipeline.
Bobo The Clown.
Slow talking, friendly clown Bobo was another by chance puppet.
There were some pieces of Antron fleece left over from a previous puppet build and it seemed a shame to let it go to waste. So with the addition of a red nose and clown costume, Bobo came into being.
He is now living life in the USA.

Shifty Cyril.
Cyril came about from an idea of having a puppet with a head that didn't quite sit at the top of its body, something of a hunchback. Originally he was also to have a bit of a leathery/Mad Max type look about him but as it was he turned out be less mad and more shifty.
Little Yellow.
A live hand puppet made of a brilliant yellow plush fur, Little Yellow has quite a personality as you can see in his pictures below.
Little yellow is one of the designs that can be purchased and adapted in our shop.

Grouchy Red.
Another of our generic puppet designs, Grouchy Red can be adapted to many different appearances with combinations of hair colour, noses, teeth and horns.
Check out his costing in our order page.
Billy Big Hands.
Billy started life as Baby Big Hands, an idea that came from watching my two year old daughter walking around with some huge (adult sized) gloves on.
He ended up evolving a little into this character, but he did continue to have just one tooth and a distinct lack of hair.

Oddbod.
As his name suggests, Oddbod was created from a bunch of leftover odds and bods from other puppet projects.
However, with the addition of a foam body he turned out to be a great little character who found a home with a new puppeteer in the UK.
Gladstone The Gargoyle.
A custom build puppet, Gladstone was based on a genuine gargoyle and was one of our first commissioned pieces.
Built from reticulated and polyurethane foams, and covered in Antron Fleece, Gladstone included carved arms and legs to give him a stony edge.
You can check out the original sketches of Gladstone in our Sketch Gallery.

Ernie Gurnie.
Ernie originally started life as Hamish McTaggart, but somewhere along the line he developed a Yorkshire-ish accent and changed his name.
He has since appeared in educational videos, and had made other appearances including as host of The Corrie Catchup, which can be seen in our video section.
Old Man Tucker.
Tucker is a country bumpkin with a guitar.
Based on a quickly sketched idea, Tucker pretty much ended up exactly as expected. He was partically inspired by ZZ Top with his mass of facial hair.

A family of singing lizard comedians

A family of singing lizard comedians
The Lizzard Brothers.
Meet the Lizzards.
Clockwise from the bottom are brothers Freddie, Teddy, Eddie and step-brother Phil Lizzard.
They sing, they dance, they do comedy. The Lizzards provide vocal interpretations of well known songs along with song parodies and comedy sketches.
Watch out for them in the near future.
Grandad.
Built for and based on a sketch by author and artist Douglas Pledger for a project, this Grandad puppet came with three sets of detachable eyes to give him three different moods.
Watch for more information on Grandad in future.

Doorkeeper of Oz.
The Doorkeeper of Oz was built for Immersion Theatre's Christmas 2015 pantomime of The Wizard of Oz.
Covered in emerald green, the Doorkeeper made the choice of whether to let Dorothy into the Emerald City to see the great and powerful Oz.
Elvis.
There is only one King of Rock N Roll, but there's also the king of fleece and foam.
A full body take on the music icon based on his Vegas days, complete with trademark quiff, glittery suit and ready to rock.

Professor Albert Hammerstein.
The German professor of everything. With superior knowledge and a love of Bratwurst, the Professor is heading to the internet with his own website, You Tube Channel and more.
